| Amos Associates is a company designed
to provide quality respite care and support services to those
families and caregivers who deliver daily care to children and
adults with
development disabilities. Amos is a
privately owned, family operated business, home based in
Montgomery County. Since its founding in 1997, Amos has
established relationships and partnerships with Montgomery
County's various Health and Human service agencies, MCPS, DC
Child Foster and Adoption services, service coordinators and
families. Amos Associates believes in empowering individuals with disabilities to lead full, active and productive lives. Amos focuses on optimal outcomes, independence and inclusion by assisting and training consumers in all areas of adaptive and social skills: daily living / survival skills, personal hygiene, school / study support, behavioral support in accordance with BMP and psychological input, money skills & budget management and community integration. Our goal is to help maintain the integrity of the family unit by reducing the stress of the caregiver, providing information and support to family members, and encouraging family input and participation at all levels of the individual's treatment plan. |
